White Ribbons to Vienna, Austria!
Over 400 ribbons were made in collaboration with the Colorado Cancer Coalition, International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, Dr. Michael Gieske, Chris Draft, and numerous local survivors and family members on July 9th, 2022, at the home of Heidi & Pierre Onda.
Kentucky HB 219 Signed
Frankfort, Kentucky – HB 219 was signed by Governor Andy Beshear on July 15. Millions of dollars will be directed toward lung cancer screening and research. Dr. Michael Gieske, Director of Lung Cancer Screening at St. Elizabeth Healthcare was prime mover in this tremendous effort. White Ribbon Project ribbon holders were present at this event.
Cathy Cray 5K in Amherst, NH
Heidi and Pierre were at Cathy Cray’s 5K in Amherst, NH on July 16, 2022. Cathy was a wife, sister, mother, grandmother, a lifelong health enthusiast, and avid runner. She was a beautiful person inside and out. This was the one-year anniversary of her passing, and everyone could feel the love her family, friends, and community have for her. More than 350 people came out on a hot summer day to show their love and support and to contribute to increasing lung cancer awareness.
