PACT Act Legislation Signed: Named for Sgt. First Class Heath Robinson

Advocacy Efforts Creating Change

Danielle Robinson and her mother, Susan Zeier, are advocates creating change to increase Veteran health benefits and awareness for lung cancer and the risks associated with exposure to burn pits.

The signing of the PACT Act and new legislative law is named for Danielle's husband, Sgt. First Class Heath Robinson who died in 2020 after battling lung cancer for three years. Robinson attributed his illness to smoke exposure from burning trash pits during his deployment in Iraq. Danielle and her mother attended Biden's State of the Union address earlier this year, and also the signing of the new law. Danielle was accompanied by her mother and daughter for the signing of the new law on August 10, 2022, at the White House.
