Pierre Onda

Pierre Onda, MD, MPH, is a recently retired internal medicine primary care physician and Heidi’s husband and caregiver. He received his medical degree from The Medical College of Pennsylvania (currently known as Drexel University College of Medicine) in 1991, and completed his residency in internal medicine at UCLA in 1994.

He also holds a BA in biology from the University of California at Berkeley, a Master's degree in biology from Stanford University, and a Master’s degree in public health with a focus on health education from UCLA. He has had numerous physician leadership roles within Kaiser Permanente, Colorado, and is a former member of the Board of Directors for his former 1,000+ member medical group (Colorado Permanente Medical Group).

Pierre builds many of the white ribbons, provides operational support for The White Ribbon Project, and encourages others affected by lung cancer to become effective lung cancer advocates. He is passionate about encouraging primary care physicians to improve the lung cancer screening rates for their eligible patients.
